Student Clubs

Clubs provide opportunities for students to pursue their interests and hobbies and offer a chance to develop valuable skills outside of their regular academic classes.

Students are either selected to participate based on teacher recommendations or students who wish to participate should talk to the Faculty Advisor in charge of the club.

Some clubs are offered throughout the year while others have a determined time frame.

If an after-school club, students are dismissed directly at the end of the school day and the session runs until 4:30 pm.

Lunch clubs are also offered please see each of the offerings below.

Parents/caregivers are asked to make a note of which club and day(s) their child is attending.

For changes or cancellations to the schedule, your Faculty Advisors will send out an email to parents about the change.

Safety Patrol

7th and 8th Grade
Faculty Advisor: Lynn Schab

Seventh and eighth-grade students may be members of the Safety Patrol Program.

Students are selected for participation based on teacher recommendations and must maintain academic standing as specified for all clubs and extracurricular activities. The safety patrol faculty sponsor trains the safety patrol members. Safety patrol members aid younger students during arrival and dismissal time. All students are to follow the directions of the safety patrols.

Patrol Meetings take place during lunch.

Student Council

Each year the student body elects new officers for the Executive Board and class representatives to the Student Council Association(SCA). Classes in grades 4-8 are represented. The mission of the SCA is to give students an opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. Examples of outreach activities are the collection of toys for the Marine Corps' Toys for Tots program, food drives for the St. Anthony food bank, overseeing the school recycling program, and raising funds for local and national charities such as Culmore Clinic, St. Jude, and Animal Welfare of Arlington. The Student Council meets after school on the first Wednesday of every month.
